CANADIAN CELIAC AWARENESS MONTH

May 2010

Each year, one month is designated when we combine all our efforts from coast to coast to educate Canadians about celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis and the gluten-free diet. Just before and during that time, every one of the chapters of the Canadian Celiac Association makes an extra effort to reach the media (newspapers, radio and television), conduct educational public displays and generally talk about our cause.The more volunteers willing to help in some small way, the better our chances to continue to reach individuals who are undiagnosed and suffering needlessly. Please don't wait to be asked - call your local chapter now to have your name put on their list of volunteers. Your Chapter Executives can only make aggressive action plans if they know how many members are prepared to help.Thanks for doing your part to increase awareness!
